no thanks. That isn't real custom water cooling.
I fixed it just for you, logic Nazi.

It's a super close loop. unlike REAL solutions, it's not expandable like REAL water loops.

It doesn't perform nearly as well like REAL water loops.

Your logic is impeccable

OP: the h50/70 is real water cooling in a sense that it runs water from a block to a res through a pump. A res is not required for a wc loop always. If it wasnt real why would ppl mod their h50/70s to use the block and pump to pump to a bigger rad?

that being said I agree with you its not full water cooling but it is a water cooled block so it counts as watercooling none the less. Just a different styled loop thats all.

such hostility...and to think, people are just looking out for you, what with being new to w/c and all.

Custom loop for cpu only? radiator/reservoir/pump/cpu block/tubing/fans/distilled water/killcoil/fan controller...can be anywhere from 300-500 depending on the components you choose.

Performance-pcs.com...go shop around there.

So if a reservoir is not required, can I make a CPU loop with just a block, pump, and radiator? I have an NZXT Phantom and it has mounts and bracket for a 240rad.

I don't see whats hostile about not wanting recommendations on the H50/H70. Its not a custom loop, if I wanted to get an H50 or H70 I would not even waste time with a thread about it.

my loop costs me 250$

Prolly around 200 to 300 hundred if you shop wisley.

Personally you can use plastic barb fittings with clamps to save big money over the fancy chromed compresion

That is what I have used from the begining, back when we made our own blocks and before all the designer water cooling sites were in busines ....

But that stuff is way cool if you have the bread for it.

i think your best bet is one of those xspc water cooling kits that everyone is talking about... its a good price and its full on water cooling.

you can actually make a loop without a res but I dont suggest it because the res makes it much easier to change the liquid, fill, empty, bleed, etc oh and it looks good.

if you have mounts for the 240 rad get the rasa kit linked earlier for sure. Great water cooling startup kit. Then you have everything in place to get new blocks or a new res down the road and can stretch the price over time so it doesnt hurt as hard. However if you have 400+ to spend right now just do a fully customized loop.
