SteelSeries has been around for almost 10 years! Where have you been? The SX is their only "metal" surface...its amazing if you are a high sens player..and the smoothest pad they make. Go with the HDs if you want more of a plastic feel..but to me they feel cheaply made.

I can second that the SX is an ace surface to play on, it's a bit more than some folks are willing to pay and I can understand that.
