Since there is no owners club yet for this board I decided to make one. This thread is here for owners (and potential owners) to discuss their experiences and share information about this board. Please PM me to be added to the members list. I will be making updates to this thread frequently.

Product notes:
New board versions have 90 degree Sata 6gb/s ports
New versions also no longer have the "easy out" memory slots. They have standard ones.

Most people here wouldn't recommend the coolit vantage, I as well would be more inclined to recommend the Corsair H70 because I have installed one for a friend before. But they both have good reviews.

Your PSU is overkill, you would really need no more than a 750w unit. Unless your planning an SLI with 570's

Other than that, good setup. One other question, why so much memory?

That Antec is a mean looking case BTW.

i connected a 8 pin to the upper one, and a 4 pin to the lower one, left the blocked off part of the lower one covered
wink.gif
i used a 8 + 4 pin to 8 pin adapter, seems to be working fine.

just need to figure out how to save time and disable this stupid marvell crap.

You need the extra 8pin if yer gonna push the overclocks. Are you hardcore? Hehe, it's upto you really.

anyone got some input ?
Just hooking to the first one would be fine. The second one is really overkill for extreme overclocking like phase cooling. I personally have them both hooked up but I have two power supplies so I had the extra cable. I ran it for a couple of weeks without the 2nd one hooked up and it did fine.

EDIT.......for whatever reason all the other answers did not show up until I left a reply then when it reloaded the page they all listed. So my reply is a bit late and was not needed but I can't figure out how to delete it.

Easy, go into bios and disable the SATA 6gb/s controller( 3rd menu down on left side)

Some bench results of my Crucial C300 SSD on the Marvell controller:

From some of my research mostly on the MSI forums I thought that controlled more than just the 6gb sata such as the network controls. I thought I had attempted it and it did not work. However I am getting old and very forgetful I will try it again when I get home because I have done so many things I don't remember which ones I have or have not attempted. I keep getting the no marvel drives detected as well as jmicron raid and I am not running raid. jmicron did not appear until I started trying to turn marvel off so I am not sure what I did. Right now I just went back in and loaded the optimal setting.

unfortunately I can't get rid of either, I am using the marvell 6gb/s for my crucial c300 and I have raid setup on the jmicron!
