Tell me did i make a good choice?

I mostly game at 1920x1080 and mostly BFBC2. Was going to get the ASUS direct CU, but then saw this and decided to get it instead.

Will i be disappoint?

That has a beefy cooler

You could have gotten a GTX470 for close to that price though.

You did fine, but I heard they were going to drop price soon. I kinda regretted getting my 6870 so soon considering that the 6950 can be bios hacked to be like a 6970.

thats just 50 bucks difference between them two. and if you can flash the 6950 into a 6970, the difference of performance will be significant. why don't you sell your gpu first for 50 or a kidney before ordering a 6950?

You made a fine choice. I was debating between a 6870 and a 470 myself. I ended up picking the 470 personally (just shipped today ), but they were honestly trading blows in the benchmarks I saw.

And if he said he couldn't afford a 6950, why do you guys keep pushing it? Seriously. This went on in my thread too, I had a $230 budget at MOST, and people kept recommending $250+ dollar cards.

Not for something your going to have for a long time , 6950 can be unlocked to a 6970 and there u go .. fastest card on the market for an extra $50

save your money and buy urself a 6950 u wont regret it , u might be dissapointed with the 6870 it doesnt have half as much potential as the 69XX series . But whatever floats your boat .

no i could barely afford the 6870 already including the money from selling my 9800. I know its not the best card and i know it is not as good as the 69xx series, but i know that its a good card and will last me quite some time. I can always crossfire them later when i get a job.
