I have plans for one of the 5770s for a mini itx HTPC build down the line as well. Plus, a high dollar card like the 6950 depreciates quick too, and will be harder to sell down the road. And a 6950 isn't something I would want for an HTPC, and would be something I would have to get rid of as new cards come out...yes, the endless cycle of computer tech. At least with the 5770 for $99, it's cheap to begin with and will be useful later on for an htpc.

Also I'm not too impressed with the 6900 series of cards. They are not exactly revolutionary to it's 5xxx series counterparts, so I have no desire for a card upwards of $200 or more at this time.

They make good HTPC cards. Thats one benefit of having a multi-card setup, you can part it out

Yah, plus it's only $100 a pop right now(newegg). It'll be a while before I retire one of the 5770s to an HTPC. I'm sure two will be more than enough for 1360x768 gaming
