Athlon BE-2400

My sig rig btw. I was wondering how bad it is bottlenecking my GTS 250?

Doesnt really matter because I ordered a Phenom II x4 955, new mobo and ram. I was just wondering if my card was any good or if the cpu was holding it back. I bought two GTS 250 from Best Buy and I was thinking of sli. But my performance with one card is crappy. I only get like 24 fps in Battlefield Bad Company 2. BTW my resolution is 1280*720.

Raise the resolution. At lower resolutions, the rendering is more CPU-side, and the higher you go the more dependent on the GPU it is.

Shouldn't be any huge bottleneck though.

Ha! Its just like my E2200. Try overclocking it to about 3.1GHz.
Also raise your resolution, because that CPU is definitely a bottleneck.

Hhahah yup its the cpu. I raised the resolution and I got up to 30fps. Then I played for a few seconds. So I tryed something crazy...I lowered all settings to low....no effect. So it has to be the cpu lol. I was starting to feel disappointed with my purchase lol.

I just got back into pc gaming so I'm kind of still getting used to everything. I havent pc gamed since it was more favorable to have a single core over dual. LOL

Thank god I live close to the newegg warehouse. I should have my new processor, ram, and mobo by tomorrow hopefully.

might also be the mobo slowing it down

mobo: FSB Hyper Transport 1000MHz
cpu: Hyper Transports 2000MHz

a newer cpu by itslef wouldnt solve much

enjoy the upgrades

btw, going from a gts 250 to gts 450 wont gain much, other than dx11
