Sapphire 6850 Fan Speed Not Changing

Thread Starter
I just recently received a Sapphire 6850 graphics card for christmas and I have noticed that I cannot hear the fan any more than at 100% speed than at 20%speed. I know that it is spinning because i've seen it,and no matter what fan speed I set it to in Afterburner, GPU-Z always says that the rpm is ~1115. Is my card bad? I have already attempted to reinstall the drivers and CCC and it didn't change anything.

Might be pwm is malfunctioning.
does it overheat?
its kind of silent but you should hear it at 100%

if you use afterburner, you can set the fan speed after temp, does that change as you do that would indicate working.

Well, idle temps on it are fine. I get like around 37 C for idle, but after 2 to 3 minutes in furmark it gets to around 90 and I stop running it because it doesn't give any indication of stopping. I have set my custom fan curve in afterburner and according to it, the fan speeds are changing as the temps increase.

Disable Fan control in Overdrive (CCC).
