Looking for input; Proposed Sandy Bridge build

First off, this will be a gaming machine. This computer will be used almost solely for gaming. I figure the 2600k isn't worth the extra $100 or so when HT won't even help out at all for gaming.

Here are the items I have come up with, going into my new HAF 922 case.
  • CPU: Intel Core i5-2500k
  • Motherboard: P67-UD3 (Or P67-UD2H / P67-UD4)
  • RAM: 4 GB OCZ Platinum XTE 2000
  • PSU: Antec TP-750
  • GPU: Sapphire Radeon HD 6950
  • HDD: 2x 1 TB Samsung Spinpoint F3
  • Cooler: Corsair A50

This all comes out to around $1000, which is my budget. Now I have a couple of questions.

1) Is buying 2000 MHz RAM with slower timings over 1600 MHz RAM with faster timings worth it in my case? I can pick up G. SKILL Ripjaw 7-8-7-24 1600 for the price of 9-10-9-28 2000 Ripjaws.

2) Would the P67-UD3 or the P67-UD2H be better for OC'ing this system? I will only have one graphics card, I don't plan on using crossfire at any point. All I care about is pushing the i5 to the limit.

I am always looking for input on which pieces to change around for cheaper and/or better performing pieces. I'm not sure if the OCZ RAM is good RAM, I'm looking for help on this. Please feel free to let me know what you all think about this build. Thanks a lot!

haf 922 is so ugly...

There is def better ram options than those dude shop around... I like Mushkin Enhanced to be completely honest, but there are a few great options... OCZ is def not one of them in terms of ram.

Nobody really knows for sure on the mobos, they aren't out yet... Also, you need to look into that more if you have no idea on mobos. Like EVERY SINGLE OTHER FORUM ON THE INTRAWEBZZZZZ there is a search function. I guarantee a "sandy bridge" search will tell you everything you need to know... As it always does... Oh search god how you perplex me....

Hard drives look good, although don't underestimate SSD's... They wreck, and its not about read/write speeds... But access speeds etc. Again SEARCH MOF(*&ER

Its the Corsair H50, and you can do equally well with a good air cooler to be honest.

As for the ram, you need both timings and speed... Its quite simple really... Again SEARCH

I don't think he made a typo. There really is a Corsair A50 heatpipe tower cooler.

I've tried looking into the motherboards, I've searched the forum, googled and everything. There's not much information on how they OC.

I'm not underestimating SSD's, just their prices. I'm not going to be able to fit what I want to fit onto an SSD, unless I just get one for a boot drive, which is going to put this well over my budget.

Actually, I meant the A50, not the H50. Google it.

And as for the RAM... we can't have it all, can we? For faster speeds timing is sacrificed.

Thanks for trying to help though, I guess.
