[CNN] 4G is a myth

Thread Starter
Quote:
You've seen the 4G advertisements from T-Mobile, Sprint and Verizon, bragging about a much-better wireless network with blazing fast speeds.

Here's the secret the carriers don't advertise: 4G is a myth. Like the unicorn, it hasn't been spotted anywhere in the wild just yet -- and won't be any time in the near future.
http://money.cnn.com/2010/12/01/tech...myth/index.htm

First news post, I believe I have it in the right section and I did search to make sure its not a double post. Good article that breaks down the different cell phone companies.

I don't know why people complain so much about this technicality. I guess its technically 3.5G but since its such a speed improvement I think we can safely call it 4G.

and who cares anyways?
