Yo onslaught you wont notice any artifact at all even after u clocked it at that speed w/o the computer crashing. you're suppose to use GPUTool Render test to see any artifact and mismatch pixel errors.
i see u use msi kombustion to test artifact but try use GPUTool it much more accurate.
For my OC 6850 im able to reach 910 / 1250 little mismatch pixel once in a while.
if i go 930+ i get artifact continuously using gpu tool.

Whats the max voltage on these cards? Anyone update there cards with the new BIOS?
post #24 of 28
6850 = 1.148V stock - 1.172V OC
6870 = 1.148V stock - 1.22V OC
(AnandTech)

I have tried my (XFX) 6850 at 1.175V and still could not get my GPU past 980, so I just leave it at stock V 960/1140. Even though I have my GPU water cooled I dont think pumping a ton of V into is worth the tiney % of performance you get. IMO of course

Anybody have any idea when software or updates will be available for voltage control for this card?
post #27 of 28
Hi,

I have gotten my card to 900/1125, any news about if and when we will get voltage support ?
I know for sure if I knew about this I wouldn't have purchased this card. frown.gif

idle Temps:39-40
load temps: 68-70
With OCCT: 75 !

Thanks
