I7 unstressed freezing.

Thread Starter
I have a 920 D0 that I have run at 4.4ghz in the past. It has run at stock for a couple months now. Now I am trying to get a simple 4.0 and tripping on a strange pebble. This chip has always needed a higher QPI and would run smoothly.
Currently:

4.01
21x191
vcore 1.312 (Higher than mininum it needs to be stable)
vtt 1.41
dram 1.66

Can run prime all day, yet can freeze in a game, bios or streaming online videos. My guess is memory. I have not set any timings and been lazy and just used profiles for ddr3 2000. I was lazy and didnt oc cpu and mem separately lol. So I'll drop the mem multi down and play with it. But is this on the right track? or am I staring something in the face?

CPU VTT is a little too high. max safe Vtt is 1.35v. other than that id say memory related is your problem. considering it is hard locking and freezing with simple tasks

Have the same issue going on with mine. Folks here indicated it could be because I had power savings option enabled after overclock. Could be memory as well - although I did set them to manufacture settings (except voltage). And multplier is 2:8 - so not at the highest setting either.
