Want to Overclock my EVGA GTX 460 1gb. Need Advice - Page 2

I took the fan from the top and from the back and replaced them with 2 new ones I bought from Newegg (red is my theme so I bought red LED fans) so I still have the 200mm and the 120mm.

The top is pulling air out and so is the back one. I'm pretty sure the front one is pushing as well. So as far as my knowledge goes (still not sure about the front one) all my fans are pushing air out of the case.

EDIT: The front fan is a pull fan. So I have 1 intake fan and 2 outtake fans. So I'm assuming the 200mm side one should be intake.

Best to have intakes in front, side, and bottom, and exhaust through rear and top.

You can do 200mm (the OEM ones from the CM store are good) on the front, top, and side.

You can do 140mm (use a scythe kazimaru2) on bottom. One 120mm fan (get a CM Sickle Flow R4) on the rear.

Lots of money to spend on fans, so get them as you can.

Bumping this instead of spamming with another thread.

I have the same exact card as OP, and was wondering what the benefits of overclocking the memory was? Can I do damage if i OC it to 2000?

I put the card up to 800/1600 just cause I don't need a seriousbiznis overclock or anything.

Funny, I have the exact same question. I've bumped my core clock to 800 without any voltage increase but wondering if I should look at the memory now.

thanks for this, really interesting since I've just ordered the exact same card.

Out of interest for these latest cards, is there still the option for NiBiTor like there was on 7900GT? I voltmodded my 7900GT then had a ridiculously high overclock flashed into the BIOS which was 100% nice and stable
