My new GTX 570 ! (Mini Review)

Hi there, here are some pictures of my new Graphics Card and Setup.

Unboxing.

This is the KFA2 card, I had not heard much about them but after some research, I found out that their RMA centre is in the UK so that would be convenient if I ever had to have it replaced.

The card comes with a DVI to VGA adapter and a Mini HDMI to HDMI cable.

--------------------------------------

So this is a pic comparing it to my old Sapphire 4870. As you can see, its slightly longer at 10.5"

------------------------------------------

When installed in my system, you can see that it is quite a tight fit (Antec 300)

From an aesthetic point of view, I think that this card compliments the rest of my setup nicely (comments !)

---------------------------------------------

Performance:

Once i got everything connected up, (I installed Windows 7 on a fresh Samsung F3 RAID 0 setup so there would be no driver issues) I downloaded all of my games from steam and set about Benchmarking with JC2.

Just Cause 2 at Maximum Eveything:

So nearly 40 FPS with eerything on maximum without overclocking is what i consider to be excellent.

It can also play DIRT2, BC2, GTA4, Fallout 3, MW, MW2, BO at maximum settings with a framerate that i cannot see (ie over 32 i think)

So if you are considering purchacing one of theese, go ahead with the re-assurancve that they can max most games Without overclocking !

EXTRA RESULTS:

DiRT2 (MAX Everything) = 61.8 FPS MAX, 59.8 FPS AVG
Dawn of War 2 (MAX Everything) = 142 FPS, 80.2 FPS AVG
GTA Episodes from Liberty City (MAX) = 65 FPS AVG

Comments:
1. needs a little cable management (perhaps the next upgrade is a new case?)
2. clean off the dust from the top fan (and I think the top fan might compete for air with the H50's fan)
3. join this club: http://www.overclock.net/nvidia/8909...ners-club.html
4. good mini review

I have an Antec 900 and its very similar, I can vouch for the cable management being very poor in these cases. I have 4 hard drives, a dvd drive, and two video cards in my Antec 900 and it is a big mess. This is also with a modular power supply which didn't really help at all.

Hi, thanks for the comments, Is the cable managment causing a problem in its present state, i have 2 120mm fans in front of the hard drive.

although, my processor can reach 60 degrees when i am rendering video

I will have a go at dusting later !

And i wil ltry and do some more benchmarks with other games and add them to the first post
