upgrading my Intel system, want your opinion!

hello ocn,

first: sorry for my bad english.


i want to upgrade my follow system:

i7-920@4.2Ghz
GTX 470@800/1600/1800
Asus Rampage II Extreme
6GB DDR3 Corsair Dominator CL8
80GB Corsair Force SSD
750W Corsair PSU
(incoming) Corsair 800D


My options:

1. Fulll Waterloop for CPU and GPU.

2. Selling my cpu,ram,motherboard and going for SB with i7-2600k.

3. GTX 580.



your thoughts ? need some opinions!

Get the GTX 580 as well as a water loop.

Downgrading to Sandy Bridge would be a waste of money with your current system.
Unless your motherboard is causing problems I wouldn't even change that with a newer model.

Your system is more than capable of lasting through the Sandy Bridge fanboy wave.

Get the 580, but the water is optional.
