Hm I think i'll go for D14 then. Just another question, is it worth to put a third fan on it, will it make a difference?

Noctua D14 fans: 1 vs 2 vs 3

It will improve the temp by 1-3C, but are you willing to pay for an extra fan and deal with the noise?

Hmmmm... So let me get this straight. You only want to get a better air cooler because your friend has a better one than you? o_o If you really wanna show him up, then why don't you spend a little more and get a WC setup?

Get your D14 and don't look back. It is a very very good cooler.

Be sure to stretch your fan clips a bit after you get the D14. Fans can be very difficult to remove otherwise.

Noctua has absolutely superb customer service. If you want clips for a third fan, they will send you clips and cushions. If you lose a spacer, they will send you a set of four. Actually, you could probably drive over to their HQ.
