yeah.. I kinda figured that out a little later than I expected.

So.. Do we (2 thread users) still qualify even without the cpu tweaker in the screenshot?

Excellent timing, guys; I'm getting new RAM in January that'll be capable of greater results than my ECO's. I'll be sure to report back later in the month with some results biggrin.gif

I wonder... you may not disable HT to enter a lower class, but can you disable cores to enter a lower class? tongue.gif
Cores =/= HT

Hi...
I stumbled upon this thread, and I don't quite understand the concept.

Ideally, the forum-goers should acheive a "low clock". If the goal is to acheive a low clock, why impose a maximum clock?

Some explanations would be very appreciated =)

3.6 = low

I took it as best scores you can get without going over 3.6. Sort of like the 4.0 SuperPi challenge. The set max clock forces good optimization and heavy memory overclocks to do well.

Should be fun. I ran a base run of geekbench for first time today after seeing this thread. Might give me an excuse to upgrade my RAM. biggrin.gif

Oh ok. I didn't see the benchmark link for Geekbench =)
I understand the concept now, thank you. And so "ForumWarz" would seek to put the scores of different forums against each other.

Added an explanation to the OP with clarifications on Memset vs. CPU Tweaker.

Forum Warz is a competition The Raptor Pit holds with a lot of other forums for which can get the best results in a couple benchmarks. Geekbench is one of the benchmarks used and I figured it's the one we need to learn the most about.

first off I know nothing about this bench, so I just winged it. lol so hopefully people that know what they are doing can chime in, to help get the score up.
