CM 690 II Adv Cooling problem - Page 2

That motherboard/ambient temp is fairly high, I'm used to having that temp in the 30-35 C range. I bet the top fan as intake is causing the problem. Too much intake, not enough exhaust.

I say, do a better job with cable management. Try your best to keep the wires hidden and tied up into one. If you can't keep the wires hidden, just keep them TIGHT.

If you feel, that the exhaust fan isnt doing a good job, I say getting a better fan. You can still place that CM rear fan somewhere else.
Also, you should get another 140mm fan for the top. You can get them at newegg --> http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...+140mm&x=0&y=0

Make sure the top rear fan is an exhaust. For the top front fan, you make it as an intake or an exhaust. But I prefer intake for the top front fan.

Is his cpu temp ok? Heck mine even at full load barely breaks 29,
If you want to have them some what silent you can get the cooler master rifle 120's I have 5 in mine gets a bit loud at times but you can control that with a fan controller. Yes top mount fans should be exhaust heat rises remember.

Changed top fan. I think i'll order one more fan for the side panel.
Thanks for the link

I have no idea what the CPU temp is supposed to be, but maybe it's a bit high because its a stock intel heat sync?

for mine i got 2 120mm Coolermaster R4 Red LEDs on the top exhaust, 1 120mm Xigmatek Crystal Fan on rear exhaust, 1 140mm Xigmatek Crystal fan on the front intake.
Side panel has a 120mm gentletyphoon as intake.

control all the fans with a fan controller.

CPU's probably more to do with the stock cooler.

Did you take the person's advice before and change the top fan to an exhaust?

Honestly, your case should have two intake fans, the side and the front. The rear and top (above the CPU) should be exhaust fans as that's where all the hot air inside your case will travel and you want it outside your case. Also, what's your ambient temperature?

You could also put a 120mm fan on the bottom of your case as an intake for better air flow upwards as well.

Yes the top fan was changed to exhaust.
My ambient temperature is around 44-45 degrees, I was reading elsewhere that it should be around 40...
I think i'll go and get 2 more fans for the case, or is there another solution?

45C or 45F??

Honestly, you may just want to replace the stock cooler instead of buying the fans. Are you in the US?
