Logitech G930 Wireless vs. Plantronics Gamecom 777

Thread Starter
I'm looking for a headset that utilizes some sort of USB connection to the computer instead of a 3.5mm jack connection since my sound card is horrible.

So here are the two competitors:
Logitech G930 Wireless Headset - $130 http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Logitech...g930&cp=1&lp=1
or
Plantronics Gamecom 777 DB Headset - $70 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...=gamecom%20777

Having heard the difference between the 2, the G930 no questions asked. I just threw out my gamecom 777, and now I am using some m50s.

I have some gamecom headsets but the do for what I need. My sons broke one pair at the head adjustment and I was able to epoxy the whole thing in order to get it to not break there again.

Bottom line is Gamecons are really flimsy like most plastics. I don't have issues with the sound quality, but I would say to spend a bit and get the real set of headphones and separate clip on mike.
USB I would thing may be more susceptible to noise then even a bad sound port.

treat yourself to a new audio card and headset..

What this guy said. The gamecoms feel cheap.
