With the increasing realism portrayed in many video games (such as COD: BO and BFBC2) it seems the main focus of developers has been on integrating real weaponry in manners which largely resemble how each respective weapon works in a real life situation. My focus is not on realism in game play, but in the weaponry. Specifically, suppressors.
lets see, neither of these games are attempting to be more realistic. They are attempting to be fun. They aim to have things seem realistic because that is what they are going for, they dont want to arm modern armies with lasers, unless they want those modern armies to be armed with lasers set in an alternate universe.
They have no interest in making suppressors that act like they do in real life, because they dont make the guns act like they do in real life, other than they kill people. They aim for fun and balance.
We are focusing on COD, and BC2 because you specifically choose them as examples. Maybe back up your arguments with something that is actually logical.
