Is this a sign of instability?

Thread Starter
I don't understand, this is causing me alot of confusion. Is it unstable, stable, normal, defective CPU. I don't know... Please help me find the reason of this problem. Look at the Prime95 window, there is 4 cores, with different amount of completed tests.

It`s perfectly normal that one core is faster than other..

Don`t worry about it..

Thanks for confirming this issue, I just noticed this today to test my load temps (it's passed 8 hours Prime95 before)

You`re welcome..

There are also system processes running in background that also have impact on core performances in P95..

LOL at core 3 going like a champ!

Just noticed, you're running an i7 with only 4 workers, you can process 8 threads so to properly load you will need to run 8 threads in prime.

Unless you're running with HT off ofc *mutters something about i5s*

Closer inspection, I see you're running with HT off, and damn that's some voltage and temps you're pushing through there!

I don't think you need that much voltage for 4.0, have you tried 1.35v?

I don't need anywhere near that much for 4.2:

Indeed ! I also overlooked that.

Why have you turned off HT ? It really makes no sense to me to overclock your CPU but turn HT off to push out the last few Mhz.
Also, that voltage is really high for that speed WITH HT OFF..
I think your voltage is a little high because of your base clock. Personally I found that base clocks over 200 are harder to get. Not impossible, but harder to reach.

Try 21x 191 for the 4 ghz. I bet you can get it with less vcore than 1.4

EDIT: Never answered the original question. Yes it is normal for them to have different speeds. At least it does it to me as well.
