I can play dvd's and music on the program just fine. But when I play .mkv files (or .avi, .mp4 or whatever) it says it doesnt support the playback of the media format. Help plz!

Time to download a program like VLC.
Highly doubt that PowerDVD supports .MKV files.

It does. But VLC doesn't support 3D output, that is the problem.

Hmm not much of a solution but give arcsofts totalmedia theatre 5 trial a go, i dont know if the 3d features work in the trial version though so it might be no good anyway, but having used both pdvd10mk2 and tmt5, i can safely say tmt5 is way better

You're correct. VLC doesn't support stereoscopic 3D but it does support "3D output". I didn't quite understand what you were saying. Since there is a 3D Output option in the settings.

Doing some Google searches. I couldn't find any program that will play 3D .MKV files.

What do you excactly mean with the "3D output"? Then search better, cause both Powerdvd and Totalmedia theatre do.
