Asus CrossHair IV front microphone jack.

Well, recently i have had a new motherboard installed, this is an awesome board, the back jacks work perfectly fine and so does the front audio jack. the front pink microphone jack however does not. i have tried many things software wise to get it to work to no avail. i can hear sound from my headset but not speak to people. On the front jack it also says:
"front mic VIA high definition audio Unplugged" when it surely is plugged in.

Trying pushing the audio jack upwards. See if it then says plugged in. Something similar was going on with me and i just pushed it up wards like if I was turning on a switch.
