101 is vcore. 124 is not enough or too much qpi. Theres another one for mem timings- don't remember it.

Up your vcore.

Your temps are pretty dicey already, not dangerously so, but above what many would consider the recommended max and you haven't exactly done long tests.

I think you're reaching the limits of your cooler, upping voltages will only make that worse, I would back off a bit on your clock and try for maybe a 3.8-3.9GHz and see if you can get that stable for several hours (2+ at least) on IBT.

As for your voltages, that's totally chip dependant, some chips pull insane high clocks on no volts, others need a lot more to get standard clocks.

Better motherboards can also make it easier to reach higher clocks.

Yeah i agree, high 80's was just awful to look at. I've dialed it back to a stable (IBT 2 hours, Prime95 2 hours) 3.8Ghz for the moment with load temps sub 80 deg. I've got loads of work to do so i wont have time to fiddle with it again for a week. I'm going to get a noctua d-14 too i think (Putting off the Swiftech Ultima for a little longer! haha). Really dont want to have to change the MOBO. Bill Gates wont be happy and i'll have to buy another copy of win 7. I bought the MOBO on the premise that it would be a substantial overclocker.... am i mistaken? :S

Well I'm using that board and it seems fine, I reached 4GHz very easily (semi stable at 1.25vcore), certainly shouldn't be holding you back at these kinds of clocks.

You might find that your RAM is causing the instabilities, I haven't had much luck with my RAM and overclocking (not that I'd really tried lol) so atm it's slightly underclocked.

You could try raising the voltages on your RAM. That might make your issues go away, however you will prob want some significant airflow on them.

Other than that your issues seem heat related, the swiftech ultima would kick all your heat issues out the door though...

I'm running a similar set-up and if I open my window for some cooler air I get around 50oC max under load with my GTX480 in the loop too. Windows closed ambient 20-25 I get low to mid 60's under load.

You should try the 930 settings posted here, by using the 21 multi, as a lot of 950 users have better success with it.

Enter them exactly as you see them, as these are low voltage settings, and tweak accordingly.

In your case, I would try these settings for 4.0 with HT ON, also, you should find out ALL the correct timings and settings for your RAM and enter them accordingly.

Whoever says you can't run 4.0 GHZ on low voltage on AIR hasn't done enough tweaking. How much of your pay cheque are you putting up? I will PM you my mailing address See proof below, I don't even need 1.3v for 4.2GHZ and I need even LESS voltage for 4.0 flat.

It took a lot of testing and tweaking for me to get these results, just keep at it, and eventually you'll find the sweet spot for your chip.
