Replacing swiftech mcp 355 -

http://www.performance-pcs.com/catal...ducts_id=20655

with

the same pump using 3/8 inlet/outlets and then using a simple converter ( like this one: http://www.frozencpu.com/products/22...tl=g30c427s459 ) so that I can use it with the rest of my components

How much will this hurt my flow/head?

I'm using 2 of these pumps for the two loops in my case that I'm putting together.

The reason I'm doing this is so I can save 50% on the pumps. Please take this into consideration when voting or commenting.

2nd link is broken, but if you're talking about a pumptop then it will help overall having that, up to 40%

I voted, but on the assumption that it's 1/2" vs 3/8" -> 1/2" adapter. In which case, the 1/2" top would perform slightly better, though not much.

Sorry about the broken link.

Hopefully this works : http://www.frozencpu.com/products/22...tl=g30c427s459

If not here is the title of it and the description. It is a simple adapter not a top, will I be able to use these with a regular top after using the adapter.

1/2" ID to 3/8" ID Leakproof Reducer - BLACK

This reducer is designed to reduce 1/2" ID tubing to 3/8" ID tubing. Ideal for coupling 3/8" ID water blocks to a 1/2" ID system.

Attached below is an image.

Just to reiterate: My question is will this effect the head/flow enough for it to affect my loop. I'm getting these pumps for half the price of the normal swiftech MCP 355 1/2 ID, so does the price make them worth it?
