How would I?

How can I have my headphones connected to BOTH my PC and Plasma/DVR satellite receiver at the same time? I've looked at 3.5mm jack Y splitters, but they are only female/female to male.. I'd need female to male/male. Although I guess I could get regular Y splitter, then buy 3 seperate gender changing extension wires.. but I fear that may degrade the audio signals, and be somewhat redundant. Not to mention, I don't even think the DVR nor Plasma have 3.5mm headphone jacks...

I'm also looking to getting a pair of Denon AH-D2000s soon and would greatly appreciate it if the quality wouldn't be hurt by the splitter or whatever I'd need.

(please don't tell me I need to buy some $300 receiver or something)

You could plug your TV's audio out into your LINE-IN port on your soundcard.

Then you would just plug your headphones into your computer like normal.

Lol why didn't I think of that!

I don't have a sound card yet. Any recommendations for a good one with a headphone amp? I looked at the http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-014-_-Product

Would it be a good choice for the Denon AHD2000? I've been looking at these because I hear they have really good bass. However I've heard that amps can sometimes reduce the boominess of bass. I'm a basshead and listen to a lot of techno, pop, metal, r&b that has a good deal of bass.

I've heard nothing but good things about that card, so I don't think you could go wrong buying it. And I don't think amp would do anything except make than cans sound even better.

A low quality one may muddle the lower ends, but I don't believe the Essence would do so.
