no offense, but that looks more like a 500$ built with a crappy psu and 2003 case...

Looks good for gaming, stay away from ultra products and compusa/tiger direct (newegg/amazon is usually cheaper and better RMAs)

Nice build, but I feel like you should have gotten a better CPU cooler.

For your first build it's good. Mine was ancient comparably, and im not even 21 =D

if you have a cable management area on the other side of the case be sure to stuff everything in there so you're case is pretty free of wires for airflow and aesthetics.

Nice first build! Puts my first to shame (but hey, that was 5 years ago). I personally would have chosen some different parts but overall you did good!

My only real recommendation would be to do some cable management if you can.

Dude I saw a poopload of the PSU's @ Compusa Lauderdale but they have so much good ratings for the PSU I have, I couldn't resist buying it for 50 bucks. Why dont you like CompUSA Btw ?

And thanks all of you . Of course the CPU is old, But It was 60 dollars and I couldn't pay more for a AM3 CPU, but If i do get the money I could probably get a Phenom II X4

ULTRA is like the Rosewill of Tiger Direct, except the reasonable products.

That LSP psu probably can't supply 550w's os power and will most likely EXPLODE under load.

Anyways, I've worked at compusa and it really sucks. Prices are a lot more than newegg if you start adding things together and my old co-workers / employees are pretty dumb when it comes to choosing parts.

I think with that budget, you could've gotten a lot better parts. But, since this was your first build, you'll make better choices the next time around.

I remember my first build, it was total crap, but I made wiser choices the next time around.

Some things which I would change would be the mobo, as it uses DDR2 RAM and DDR3 is not only cheaper, but future proof as you can reuse it in other builds. Another thing would be the CPU. That's a Gen 1 phenom, which runs hot and pretty bad. An athlon II x3 would be a lot cooler and powerful. Lastly would be that ultra psu as I'm just worried if it'll explode under load.

Buying from the "for sale" section and newegg could save you mucho $$$

Have fun with your first build, it's actually pretty good for games depending on what games that is and probably looks awesome to non-techy people

I'm going to be honest with you... some of the choices here are a bit scary.
-125W processor on an unheatsinked 4+1 power phase board... dangerous
-Heatsink choice, not really the best nowadays... but it does at least blow onto the mosfets.
-Memory choice.... with 3 DIMMs you are not running proper dual channel and as a result there is a large chunk of performance lost; removing one of the DIMMs for proper dual channel will probably give you a big, noticeable increase in performance and you probably won't max out 4GB of RAM anyway.
-Power supply looks worse than mediocre. With a 125W processor and a higher-end video card you could be looking at some serious problems in the future.
