Just got my 570 ,Barely faster than my OC'd 470 in Heaven

So I was exited to see a decent bump in framerates in Heaven. I was getting 29.6 with my OC'd 470 4xAA Extreme tesselation @1920x1080 .With my new card -30.8FPS . I am gonna need to OC this thing and not having much luck so far w/ Afterburner.Tried 800 Bclock ,and got wicked colored stars popping artifacts!! What utility should I use to OC this thing?? Will I need more Volts also ? Any help appreciated !

GTX 570 isn't much faster than an Overclocked GTX 470. It was really a sidegrade, but if you Overclock the 570 it should be faster than the 470 by 2-3 more fps in Heaven.

Performance Wise.. GTX 570 = GTX 480, and the 480 is only 15% or so faster than a 470.

You really need more volts. Bring it to 900Mhz, see if there's any difference.

Same thing counts for a GTX 580 and HD 6970. When you OC those cards they will really outperform the GTX 470. What were your clocks on the GTX 470?

Not very severe, never got past 750 Bclock at the highest voltage afterburner would let me

OC it to 1.1v 900+ core and it'll be a nice improvement, not to mention you should be seeing lower temps & hearing a quieter fan too, that alone is a huge upgrade imo

I am starting to feel like I wasted some money here.I really loved my 470 ,with that silent ,deadly Zalman cooler rig, even though it took up like 4 slots!!! I am mainly upgraded as to play Crysis 2. I guess I will be able to play it at a decent frame rate.I only run @1920x1080 .I am going to test it out on Crysis now .I sold my Zalman'd 470 to a Girl for $200.I think she got a wicked deal.

WoW it's the gigabyte gpus last time i get one of those same here really bad ocer compared to other manufacturer cards. Finally stable at 837/1674/2000 only and thats with 1.1v

If you had sick 470 ocer and get **** 570 ocer you screwed pretty much . At least for me i upgraded from 295 so feeling quite the difference

I can't seem to adjust voltage in my AB I am going to check to see if I have the newest version.Crud ,I knew I should have just went for the EVGA SC model. although I can still do a return at the egg and switch to the other card ,but with shipping fee's ,restocking ,I'll prolly get hammered ,and it would be counter productive. It is nerve racking pulling the trigger on a new product ,when there are soo many different vendors selling it.

Did you enable it in the settings?
