pop goes the power supply

Thread Starter
Stupid me, lol thought I could be cheap and use coolmax v600w power supply for a pentium d 3.2 and two gts 450. There still power to the board but no go when I hit the power button. Well I guess all I can do is get a new one and see how it goes.

600w should be plenty for that, though I do not know anything about that PSU. Something else may have occured.

I had a coolermaster 650 do that, with 2 x 260s folding. Max wattage on the wattmeter was ~450W.
It didn't just pop though, it went off like a gunshot, made me jump.

Windows was doing something very similiar to me with my nvidia 6200 (used just so i can see) basically I don't remember how I fixed it, but sometimes I just waited 5 minutes and windows would show up miraculously YAY microsoft!

PS I think I'm the only one who has an i7 in the same machine as an nvidia6200 heheheh
