New GPU, cannot see 2nd and 3rd monoitors

Hello!

Just upgraded my GTX 260 SLI to a GTX 570. But I'm having a problem with my 9500GT.

Quick version:

Before:
  • GTX260 powering monitor 1
  • 9500GT powering monitor 2 & monitor 3

Now:
  • GTX 570 powering monitor 1
  • 9500GT cannot be seen by windows

My computer does not see my 9500GT (it is not listed in device manager). However, rivatuner can see my 9500GT. Windows and Nvidia Control panel cannot see my 9500GT, so I cannot activate my 2nd and 3rd monitors

I believe its the drivers. Before, with my GTX 260, I was using 260.99. Now, with my GTX 570, I upgraded to 263.09, which is not available for the 9500GT

So how can I get my 2nd and 3rd monitors back?

Thanks!

You would have to install the older drivers purposely to have the 9500GT work. The 263.09 is meant specifically for GTX 570/580 cards only.

Tried rolling back to 260.99 but my GTX 570 does not work with it.

Guess I'll have to wait for better drivers :-/

You have to install the 260.99 on top of the 263.09 drivers. This way each card gets its own respective driver.

I'm glad it worked for you.

That is weird regarding the name change for GPU Observer. I'm not sure what to say to that. If it's any help, though, I used to use that gadget for my two GTX 570's, but have since switched to a modified version of GPU Monitor that can read from MSI Afterburner because it consolidates everything into one gadget. See if you like this one better:

Update:

Just wanted to point out that using the leaked 266.44 drivers fixed everything for me!

Nice! I had heard that the new drivers were meant to unify the entire lineup. Good to know for sure, thanks!
