Going HDMI

I have a Xbox 360 Elite and have been playing with the reg/blue/green cables. I'm planning on upgrading to HDMI. Do these cables look like right for me?

or does a different one from this list look better?

Also, are there any Xbox 360 console settings or in game settings I have to/should change when I go HDMI?

Your links are broken.

Anyways, HDMI is a digital signal, so it will look the same no matter what cable you use, so just get the cheapest one that is long enough, eg:

Thanks, fixed the links. I just didn't know if there were any differences and if they all hooked up to the Xbox 360.

yeah paying more than $10 for a cable is you getting ripped off

$3 cables work just as well IMHO

Any HDMI cable will work since HDMI is a standard and will work with any HDMI device (xbox, pc, tv)

You didnt need to make 2 threads asking exactly the same thing. Anyway no dont need to change settings for the xbox (at least i dont think so, i dont own a 360). For the ps3 you need to connect both cables at the same time and change to HDMI in display and audio settings.

Go for the cheaper cable.

Go & buy a M2000 HDTV HDMI Cable, or go home.

I didn't know if the PS3 and Xbox 360 required different cables of some sort. Thanks for the help.

Vote for the cheapest cable possible.
There is only one time when you should get better cables, that is when you have the cable in a spot where it might get rubbed, or worn on. In which case you buy a cable that is slightly more heavy duty.
But all cables are the same, don't let the guys from bestbuy and such tell you that you need the newest spec cable.

I have used a "1.0" cable on a 3d bluray player and it worked just fine.

super long, high quality brand name cables you get at best buy, staples etc. only matter if you xbox is like 50ft away from the tv or your playing jump rope with your cables.

I prefer jump rope with dollar store skipping ropes.

Get the Cheapest HDMI cable that you can find, but don't order a 50 cent one from some chinese website. we mean don't buy monster
