Dual Core Folding Question

Thread Starter
I have the console app and I have 2 instances of it installed in separate folders and them set to machine 1 and machine 2...Do I need to assign one to each core?? Or will it do it automatically?

All you need is one client, and make sure to add -smp or -smp 2 flag.
That will use both your cores.

Edit - Here is a nice SMP guide if you want to check it out.
Make sure to grab HFM (guide) to track your PPD and stats.

You are better off using one client, and using the -smp 2 flag. this will let your one client work on one unit with both of your cores.. If you REALLY want to work on 2 units at the same time you have to run the unicore clients 2 times.. I haven't done it in a while but I believe windows should take care of assigning the workload so that both cores are used..

You will have to download the smp client from standford..

6.23 is unicore
and 6.30 is multi core (I believe i'm right on this distinction, but maybe they both work for either one..
