Noo! Think of the kittens. LOL, I would think all will work out in the end.
Honestly though, I spent alot of time getting everything set up as well. So I understand.

Thats funny you mention it, I was thinking today while I was driving. If I do have problems before I get a replacement I can just switch over to the Marvell.

so, how many unaffected ports are there on the UD7? If I only plan on using one cd drive, an ssd, and one hard drive...will I be alright? The whole process of sending my hardware back is such a nuisance.

not yet, but word should be out soon. Its only affect 5-15% over 3 years so not many. I don't think its a full blow recall either, some people just blew this out of proportion.

People? Intel said it. It's obviously a major problem or Intel wouldn't have already recalled all motherboards before the problem arises. Remember it's costing them $1 billion.

Which bios is recommended for the UD3P right now? I'm getting my motherboard in about 2 hours. I heard the F6 doesn't have PLL overvoltage?

"4 x SATA 3Gb/s connectors (SATA2_2~SATA2_5)"

These are the ones affected, all the other ports are OK to use...

It is definitely a problem, but there is a temporary workaround until the new boards are available (use the SATA6G ports only). Hopefully Gigabyte and ASUS will both be doing free advance replacement.

I'm going to be using the SATA6 ports for my SSD and HDD. I'm debating on whether or not I should even plug in the sata connectors from my case.

Hopefully they offer some kind of upgrade plan to Z68 .
