VLC not working...

Hey y'all,

So for whatever reason, VLC has stopped properly playing DVDs for me. It plays CDs, ripped music, and ripped videos just fine, but a physical DVD does not work at all. I checked and DVDs still play just fine in Windows Media Player, so it's not an issue with my drive and probably not with the codec. I was running 1.1.4 and saw that there was an update to 1.1.5, so I tried reinstalling with that and it didn't fix the problem.

To be specific, the video is incredibly glitchy and choppy, and often it freezes completely. The audio cuts in and out and there's also intermittent bursts of static.

Needless to say, I'm baffled.

So you tried re-installing.
Is it a legit DVD or is it a rip?

Maybe it's the DVD and not the player.
Try other DVD's and rule out the issue of the player.

It's a legit DVD. I've tried five different ones. They all work in an actual DVD player and in Windows Media Player, just not VLC.
