9800GTX or 250gts which one to choose

Thread Starter
HI every one, this is my first post....

OK i don,t have a graphics card and now i am going to buy a used one.
i have two options
1. XFX Radeon 4850 512mb. which is 13 months old, for 5500tk or 78$.

2. 9800GTX 2 year old, for 5500tk or 78$. (1$= 70tk)

Both of them are from a local web shop here in Bangladesh. i cant buy from other shops like newegg, tigerDirect etc or new.

so please suggest me the best one, and is there will be any problem from this used card?

Thanks in advance.

Uh sorry read your post wrong

your title states 9800GTX or GTS250 which are exactly the same card

and 4850 vs 9800GTX, both are comparable in performance but 4850 has a slight edge.

They are both pretty similar in performance. I had the 9800gtx and loved it. It ran cool and was pretty quiet. It's also folds well.

9800GTX and GTS250 are identical. So between those two, it comes down to whichever is cheaper.

9800GTX and HD4850, the 4850 has a SLIGHT edge. But its only slight, they both perform very similarly, but I would certainly lean to the HD4850 between those two.

Actually, the GTS250 is a 9800GTX+ and not the 9800GTX to be specific . I would go 4850.

ATI and nvidia both make good cards. My 8800 gts 320 mb is over 3 years old and still works 100% folding so no complaints there.

I have 5+ year old ATI cards as well.
