9800GTX or 250gts which one to choose - Page 2

9800gtx+ and gts 250 are the same card.

Buy the one that's cheaper or read some reviews and see which one overclocks better

If you are talking about 9800GTX (without the "+") The GTS250 will be exceptionally faster. (GTS250 is rebrand of 9800GTX+)

Comparing 9800GTX and 4850, the 4850 would be faster.

Thread is a little bit confusing.

GTS250. i'd just take the newer revision. esp. if your talking about the 9800GTX not 9800GTX+

GTS250 is a nice card i used to have one, it did great in games. even current.

Yea. Alongside a great overclocking CPU you play games with max settings on lower resolutions, ie 1366x768

very few games use phys-x, and in those games the 9800gtx running as a single core would not perform much if any better.

Most people that use 9800 gtx for phys-x use it as a dedicated phys-x card (means they have something more powerful as their main card)

4850's are still ATI, as are 5xxx series. the AMD name change didn't take effect until the 6xxx series
