Dazzle Compression Problems

Thread Starter
Well I am trying to record games with my dazzle video creator plus HD using Pinnacle Studio HD, the software that comes with it. However when I record 10 minute videos the file is about 2.5 gigs! I looked at the compression settings and it was set on DV. The other options are MPEG and Custom. My question is would MPEG make smaller videos? If so, would I have to sacrifice some quality? I have tried compressing it after I record it with various programs, but that just makes the video quality TERRIBLE. Any tips?

Yes, and yes. You could try different encoders, until you find one you like/has good quality.
