Well on Boxing Day I picked up this bad boy after 75 minutes outside in line at the canada computers in minus 15 weather but it's all mine.

OCZ (OCZSSD2-2VTXE120G) Vertex 2 Extended SATA II 2.5" 120GB Solid State Drive, Read: 285MB/s, Write: 275MB/s
http://www.canadacomputers.com/produ...item_id=032128

Got the ssd for $179.99 after a $30 instant rebate and a $20 MIR.

I also got two of these below for $59.99 with a $40 instant rebate.

Western Digital My Book Essential 1TB External Hard Drive Black (WDBAAF0010HBK-NESN)
http://www.canadacomputers.com/produ...item_id=026110

I have everything backed up and all I have to do is the install on the clean drive and were all set.

Just saw this deal. Might be worth a nice little gaming drive.

Western Digital VelociRaptor (WD1500HLFS) 150GB SATA 10000RPM 16MB Cache (OEM)

Well the ssd will have of course win 7 ultimate 64 bit. I have pse 8, video editing software, games galore.....left 4 dead, dragon age, black ops, etc...

I wanted a buffer above all else just in case of slow downs. I think this might be the best purchase I have made so far for my system. I just might get another one.

Is Canada Computers any good? I'll probably just stay with Newegg though. "Canada Computers" sounds shady. I'm not gonna buy a SSD until it is about the same price as hard drives though.

Canada Computers is pretty big in terms of locations. They have some amazing prices for gear. Tiger Direct is pretty expensive compared to them and they sell high end stuff. I would highly recommend them. New Egg is great and all but I like to go and touch the item I'm buying and get it right away.

Best Buy does sound shady. They all do but they sell good stuff. Who would have thought people would be buying computer gear from a place called "new egg".
