dual channel ?

i have a dual channel ? i currently have 2x512 ddr2 667 and i ordered a ddr2 800 1 gig stick before i know what ram was coming with my comp if i get another stick of the 1 gig ddr2 800 can i run them in a 3gig dual channel with the four sticks or will i just have to go with the ddr2 800 sticks in dual channel

Yes, they will work, but will probably downclock to DDR2 667 as with the less powerful sticks.

Lower clocks mean tighter timings. Maybe you can soften your fall with that

Not necessarily; most generic 667Mhz runs at CAS5 (sadly). If the 800Mhz memory also runs as CAS5 (as with most kits today), it'd be a sad waste

dont even know what clock times are on the ddr2 800 website didnt list themit was just a cheap $15 stick from best buy

They're probably rated 800 6-6-6 then in which case they'd downclock to 667 5-5-5 so no waste. Even then 667 5-5-5 is highly generic and low-performance in nature.
