Random USB Disconnects in Win7x64 - Page 2

Anybody have any ideas when there will be a service pack or an update to fix this?

I checked my drivers and they seem to be up to date. Might try swapping around USB cables to different slots again. This is such an annoying problem. To be in the middle of typing or drawing on my tablet and a sudden loss of connection can cause a lot of hassle.

Update: I reinstalled windows and turned off system updates. I installed my ASUS mobo drivers and things seemed fine. Installed ATI drivers and things seemed fine. Now I installed google chrome and AIM and I just had the USB thing happen. I am waiting to see if it persists.

^^Insert Comp Restart after each driver or program install.^^

None the less if it persists I will try running Linux for a few hours and see if the problem occurs. If it does, then I know it is a MOBO issue or bios.

Edit: Happened again when I switched from google chrome (OCN) to AIM (Conversation window)
-Google Chrome version is the same,
- AIM version is newer then the copy I had on the original install.

Check your ICH or PCH voltages in the BIOS (depending on your chipset). Been tearing my hair out with this issue before I found this fix. It seems the default 'auto' setting doesnt work too well particularly on some ASUS boards so you may want to manually increase the voltage by .05v

Edit: After increasing the voltage last night I still got a disconnect so I increased it another .005v and so far so good. One thing I used to notice was the mouse would be laggy between disconnects but since I increased the voltage theres been no lag at all so I'm thinking I may have fixed the issue.
