By far the most amusing "for sale" threads that I've read! Did you end up selling it? Just wondering, I'm not a audiophile or anything.

Ugh. Been looking into buying these for a long time now and of course they go on sale 1 week before I get paid and can buy them. Guess I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed they stay this low for a week (though I doubt it) and buy the 555's if they aren't.

They just might. They've been at the $147 mark for quite a while and they just dropped the prices last night, although they did raise the price 3 bucks from then. Sorry, that probably didn't help at all.

It has been shown many times the HD555 and 595 have the same major components, but the 555 has extra foam in the middle of the driver section I believe. The 555 can be lightly modded to be the exact same as the 595 by replacing the earpieces or removing the foam in the middle.

Either way, I just ordered some of these to try out with my Maverick D1. I hope they are close to being as good as these HD650s I am using right now.

You should have seen the replies BEFORE that got deleted. And the number of times mods had to go back and delete them.

And yes, I did end up selling it, not on OCN of course. I never really expected it to sell here, at all .
