safe to say so, yes they consume more power but they also beat the 6850, so its a x/y thing

in benches they ll look better, in real life / game a single gpu would prolly be a better choice as said

I think i'll just have to man up and go for the 6870 but I dont think my PSU has the power cords for it. I think it takes 1 8pin and a 6pin and mine is just 6pins or 4+2pins.. Ill have to check

4+2 = not possible as a gpu power cord as far as i know, it might be a 6+2 equaling 8 pins

you could always get a dual 4 pin peripheral to 6 pin / 8 pin adapter, if they dont come with the card.

get a second 5770 for a cheaper solution, its faster too.

Ya I just did my research.. 2x6+2 cords. I'll just have to do some thinking. Maybe just sell this computer and make me a sandybridge

someone else is probably thinkin the same thing. so sell it to whoever that may be, take that money and put it towards two 6850's, bios flash to 6870's and call it a day.
