Posted this in the Intel section since they mention Intel in the article. Pretty cool stuff if you ask me. Kinda puts those 8-Core Xeons to shame.

First they have to figure out how to make programs and games that actually run on 6 cores.

That isn't Intel's job, have to complain to the programmers of said games.
Not sure which program you want to run on 6 cores but those that need it will run on a good amount of cores already.

I agree, but he didn't post this in news which is good.

Cores + fake threads don't mean speed unless the software has been coded to take advantage of the extra threads( and coded improperly to maximize its already available pipeline. Even if it has, depending on it's programming compiler, some things may or may not be correct and un-bias. Most things are bias, and perform better on "Intel"~5% simply because of the compiler.


Granted the whole extra cores is grand, but that alone will not change the force intel has _Paid_ for in the compilers.
