Should I upgrade?

If I took my sig rig.. and Watercooled it and put in a gtx 580..

Would it be good to upgrade the mobo?

For example, I could upgrade it to:
1. Asus Rampage 3 Extreme
2. Asus p6x58D
3. One of the Evga x58 motherboards

My board is great, takes my 920 to about 4.2, but it doesn't have the new sata and it doesn't have USB 3.0 (every time I look at my HAF X the two blue ports are a reminder of that by the way)..Plus I have 8+1 power phase, which is great, but many other boards have more.

So is a new mobo worth it?
I mean, USB 3, better power distribution, and all that?
If I upgrade that means I will have to get a new PSU too, but that's a thread in the PSU section.

Here is a question to yourself.

Do you really need a new board for just SATA/USB 3.0?
If you're enjoying your board and have no problem with it.
Why fix it if it ain't broke?

exact words I thought about.

My only good reason:
if I buy the board then I will also buy watercooling.. so the board is there to help reach higher overclocks.

Plus the black PCB on those Evga boards.. would go along nicely with WC and black HAF X interior

EDIT: oh, I forgot, I also want to get faster RAM.

I've been thinking about this myself. It's very hard to come up with a good reason to upgrade because in all reality it's still a good board. Some say that other boards can overclock a bit higher. It's all about how much it's worth to you. I would suggest a new GPU before you upgrade your motherboard. Also remember that this is basically the end of the line for 1366 so there's nothing much more you can do besides throwing a $1K chip in there.

Still think that you're good where you're at. Wait a year or two then think about upgrading. I mean, I understand the addiction of wanting the latest and greatest... But i7's are pretty much top of the line right now.
