performance/watt comparison list?

Thread Starter
is there a way to effectively measure the performance per watt of a CPU? My understanding is that depending on the type of benchmark, results could vary. Ive found a couple small comparisons IE: via nano vs atom but im interested in a larger list comparing things like an I7 vs a 1100T vs Atom etc.

you know what I hate about overclock.net? everyone assumes you are trying to buy something. I ask a question then I get 20 private messages from people trying to sell me crap I don't want. I dont want to buy anything, I'm simply interested in the theory.

my question, IS THERE A LIST COMPARING PROCESSOR PERFORMANCE PER WATT?

I honestly did not know this kind of crap was going on around here.

I recommend reporting them and letting the OCN staff deal with them. No one should have to put up with that.

Do they even have 35 Rep points?

I don't know, but holy crap, I see you have a little rep yourself!

Im interested in seeing how something like a stock clock phenom compares to the same processor when OCed. How do both of these compare to a D525? Just something I've been wondering for some time. I'm assuming the efficiency would go down when OCed but i really dont know.

I see what you're asking now.

It's just that when someone asks something like this, there's almost always a reason behind it that involves upgrading or something.

Anyway, this one is way out of my league. But I do think there are people on here who would know this answer.

But yeah, when people send someone a private message just to sell something, then it's usually because they have less than 35 Rep points. Either that, or they don't know how to read and then comprehend it.
