I had a ps2 controller with some $10 adapter that I used for quite some time. I recently tried upgrading to a ps3 controller, and that was the biggest pain in the you know what to try and get working. I tried out a wired xbox controller and it's been flawless. Although I've only played "dirt 2" and "mx vs atv: reflex" with it. If you can, I'd try snagging a friends xbox controller and plug it into your computer and see how it works. Then you can pick up a used one off craigslist or ebay for $15-20. Maybe even here on Overclock smile.gif
