gtx 580 fullscreen

Thread Starter
i just upgraded from a hd 4870 to a gtx 580. uninstalled old drivers. ran driver sweeper in safe mode. card is working great.

problem is i us a 65" 1080p dlp for a monitor. the image it projects is bigger than the screen so to make it fit you have to resize it in the nvidia control panel. no big deal, works fine, i had to do the same thing for the 4870.

the problem is that anything that runs in fullscreen mode gets cutoff along all four edges. the custom resolution of resizing the desktop seems to only be affecting the windows desktop and anything in windowed mode. any windows that i maximize stick to the resized desktop dimensions. anything that runs in fullscreen goes to the default 1920x1080.

i asked for the same question on the evga forums and no one seems to have an answer. figured i'd try here and hopefully have a bit better luck.

thanks in advance for any help you may be able to provide.

ok. apparently i was just being exceptionally derp.

the NCP added my custom res to the list of res i can choose from inside the ingame menus and i was just dense and missing it. once i choose the correct res it works fine. yay me.
