Best Gaming keyboard for WoW/RTS - Page 3

I guess I wouldnt recommend Black Widow. Its hard to double-tap and it can be problematic in sc2/wow.

-Razer Black Widow Mechanical Keyboard (The Ultimate version adds backlights for the keys)
-DasKeyboard Model S Professional (The Silent version uses Cherry MX Brown Mechanical switches which are more quite but kicks up the price. The Ultimate editions just have blank keys. You can order DasKeyboards from their site)

Both are mechanical keyboards. They give you great tactile feed back and the nice clicky sound.

I have a Das Keyboard and love it. Really nice and bouncy clicky keys make it easy for me to play.

If you already have a keyboard for general use, you could go with a G13:

Give me a break.

Also why is everyone recommending stupid Logitech crap. The Black Widow has everything the Logitech keyboards have, except the gimiky LED screens, only they're mechanical and not made out of cheap plastic.

I like my "gimiky" G15. It lets me monitor all sorts of things that I would otherwise have to alt-tab to look at, like GPU-Z and Speedfan. It also tells me how much RAM I'm using and how much data is going I/O on my network in realtime. When playing WoW or BC2 I like to be able to look down and see stats instead of going through onscreen menus.
Hell, the Speedfan app shows my temps in C tenths whereas the onscreen rounds up.
Some people find it gaudy and useless. I tend to like it. At the same time, I don't like the click of mechanical keyboards and think that a big piece of metal with blank black keys is rather ugly.
It all comes down to what the individual wants it for.
Having said that, I think the G series work well for MMOs. Especially with the way Logitech set up the macro recorder. You can set effects like buffs with as long of a pause between keystrokes as you want. If you have a buff that has a minute cooldown, set the keystroke with a minute pause and then toggle repeat. Now you have a buff that you never really need to pay attention to. You hit the key once and forget about it. I assume the Razer can do this as well, but don't have enough knowledge of the product in question to know for sure.
