Not at all, my crysis bench for the original is 45fps, the only game that I get trouble with is metro 2033, I think that the case with most cards besides the gtx 580/570.

200 Euros for a 5870 is a pretty good deal! Especially for one that comes with a double lifetime warranty.

That 5870 is fine, and it should easily handle anything you throw at it (obviously games like metro 2033 and others will suffer a small performance loss but its metro...)

How does that compare to a 6850/70 price wise?

It's not going to be much faster than your 4870's in Crossfire, if at all, and from the reviews and feedback I have seen that fan is not so great in terms of noise as well as keeping the GPU cool.

While I don't know how well the prices translate in your country, the recommendation from beers for a 6950 is very solid if sticking to the AMD side. Not only will it have more VRAM from the get-go (allowing you to scale up the Anti-Aliasing and resolution), but there are quite a number of success stories where the cards out now can be flashed to essentially be the more expensive 6970 without spending the extra cash. For the price difference over the 5870 you were originally looking at, that's a worthy price to pay for what you get. If you're going to upgrade, you may as well make it a true upgrade.

That sounds like solid upgrade advice right there, I will defiantly look into that card

This HIS card http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...-027-HS&tool=3 is nearest my price range, and if its alot better than a 5870, it would easily be worth the extra £20 xD

Again though, I don't know that manufacturer so if anyone could drop a few words about them :/

EDIT: acually there is a Asus one for only £15 more than the above I can consider too
