The 5770 and 4850 are very similar cards.

You basically just gain directX-11 and a more efficient, cooler running gpu.
You wont see a night and day difference.

What game/test are u using?
What resolution/settings are u using?

look at this post.

i am using the counter strike source benchmark as a test and my resolution is 1920x1080 everything very high but AA off and filtering off. but i thought i would be getting a little bit of a different because 4850 vram is 500 mb when 5770 is 1gb :/

Crank up the AA too, CS:S shouldn't phase the 5770. Increasing the AA is the only possible way you're going to dip into that additional 512 MB of RAM the HD5770 offers.

Dude you guys need to use the search button. The 157mhz or whatever is the underclocked 2D speed. When the card senses a load or 3D app/game it will ramp up.

Also, do you have vsync on? Vsync will limit framerates to 60...

I would try reinstalling drivers. I went back to the 10.10e hotfix because 10.11 and 10.12 drivers for nothing but problems with my 5770's

CSS is cpu heavy game so that may be bottlenecking your fps but if its above 60 i wouldnt worry anyway
