Interesting reading.
I do know my plasma at home has a very very very slight ghosting on it, but that is because of so many TV shows being broadcasted in 4:3 instead of full screen. But the ghosting is only noticed when displaying a solid black screen.
Any time else you can't see it. and if you watch a movie it goes away.

Overall make sure you are able to mess with the controls and able to calibrate the future tv when you get home. Most floor models have the brightness turned up maximum so it will look different in your room environment.

If possible ask if you can see the tv in low light environment to see if the screen has bleeding on the sides. In the low light environment test for viewing angles and etc, biggest problem is vertical viewing angles. If you are going to be looking up at the monitor the toper portion of the screen should not look darker than the bottom. Cheap tv and monitors will do that.
I'm probably not gonna tweak the hell out of it but I'm sure I'll try to make it looks as great as possible. Gotto do more readings I guess.
I won't look up my TV as I put on a low stand so hopefully it won't be that bad.

These general guides describe the typical LCD vs Plasma gaming well. (Note: burn-in is not a major problem for Plasma anymore. It was a few years ago but not for newer models.)

And, one step that is useful to take before buying is to download the User Manual of that HDTV model (Plasma or LCD) and read about various inputs/connectors and scaling options that model has to offer, particularly its compatibility with a PC as a source.
Thank you for the links, after skimming through I don't think the plasma cons are big drawbacks for me as I would care less about power-efficient and the way its look than the quality of the picture itself. I think I need some more readings though as the whole LED vs plasma kinda drive me crazy now.

Much appreciated for the links, I just bookmarked and probably spend the entire night looking into that.

I just use the TV mainly for watching blu ray movies and gaming but not so much for TV.
So overall you guys would recommend me to get the G25 over that Sony LED?

I went to the store to take one last look and decided to buy the Panasonic G25, but since it's cheaper at Amazon I'll just get there. Anybody ordered a TV on Amazon b4? How's the shipping?

I was in this dilemma when I got my TV. Online had it cheaper but the store was more convenient. Decided to get at the store because what if something happens during shipping? What if there's dead pixels, or a cracked stand, or a missing part, warped bezel, or whatever? Return shipping would cost a ****load and then you have to wait for the rma to go through and on and on and on. Spare me, I'll just pay the sales tax.

That's what I was thinking but then at the same time I heard lot of people order the TV from Amazon with no problem at all so let just say I'm taking the risk.

Thank you for the suggestions but I guess I would go with the Panasonic G25.

UPDATE: Holy crap just found out Amazon has the GT25 which supports 3D just for $80 more I think I might pull the trigger on this.

DO IT.
Then you can download the IZ3D drivers and play your games in 3d.
SOO MUCH FUN.

I played world of tanks for like 2 hours in 3d on my GFs 56in Samsung LED TV.

I understand where you're coming from but there's always that slim chance that everything could go to hell

Link to GT25?
